Randwick City Council is calling for nominations for the next inductees into the Australian Surfing Walk of Fame.

In July each year, as part of the annual Beach Breaks Carnival, Council unveils a new inductee into the Australian Surfing Walk of Fame, at Australia's iconic surfing location – Maroubra Beach.

We are so lucky to live in an area that's home to many spectacular beaches, especially Maroubra – a surfing mecca and the first beach in NSW to be declared a National Surfing Reserve.

Previous inductees include Snow McAlister, Nat Young, Midget Farrelly, Karla Gilbert, Grant Kenny andMark Scott who have all reached national and international success on the surfing & surf lifesaving world stage.

Nominations are now open and close on 22 June 2015. New inductees will be unveiled as part of the Council's Beach Breaks Carnival on Sunday, 26 July 2015.
