Book a clean-up

Randwick Council is providing residents with six free clean-up collections every year, there is one scheduled collection (refer to your waste calendar for dates) and five booked collections.  Use this form to book your next clean-up collection.

Please do not place your items out until the day before your booked collection day.  All items must be placed on public land. Items placed on private property will not be collected.

Mattresses are collected and sent for recycling. Hence kindly do not put other items on the mattresses as the mattresses are collected by a separate truck.

Items which are and are not accepted through Council’s clean-up service are listed below.

Before booking your clean-up, if you have unwanted goods that are in good working condition, why not try alternatives such as The Bower, advertise on Gumtree /Facebook Marketplace/similar websites and give these items a second chance.

Due to current demand, clean-ups will be collected within 48 hours of your booked date. Thank you for your understanding.

Rehome, repurpose, donate your unwanted items

Donate or rehome your goods- before you put out items for Council collection, think about rehoming or donating to the Bower or Salvos services. Close the loop by also aiming to shop for your own goods from these shops before buying new items.

You can also try your local Freecycle group to see if another person would like to have the items.

Drop off your household problem waste at the Randwick Recycling Centre - here you can take your gas bottles, paints, car batteries, sump oil, household batteries, fluorescent tubes and globes, smoke detectors, fire extinguishers. Garden waste accepted only on Saturdays.

To recycle items that Council cannot recycle visit Planet Ark’s recyclingnearyou page to find out options for recycling building materials and other items.
