Land Classification Proposal - 32 Young Street, Randwick
Randwick Council is proposing to classify three lots within SP103935 located at 32 Young Street, Randwick NSW as operational land pursuant to sections 31 & 34 of the Local Government Act 1993.
Totalling 203m² of total floor space, comprising 2 x one bedroom and 1 x two bedroom units, the lots have been dedicated to Council for the provision of affordable housing under the terms of a Voluntary Planning Agreement and are available to eligible households.
Council welcomes community comments on this proposal. Submissions in writing, headed ‘Proposed operational land classification, 32 Young Street Randwick’ should be submitted by email or post to council@randwick.nsw.gov.au; or Randwick City Council, 30 Frances Street, Randwick NSW 2031.
Closing date for submissions: 31 October, 2025.
UNDER SECTION 47 OF THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT 1993 LICENCE OF COMMUNITY LAND
McIvers Ladies Baths Licence
In accordance with Section 47 of the Local Government Act 1993, Council proposes to grant a Licence for the premises on the land known as Part Grant Reserve, Grant Reserve and Goldstein Park, and area held under Licence as set-out below.
Land: Property known as McIvers Ladies Ocean Swimming Baths, 145-149R Beach Street, Coogee, being Part Grant Reserve (500280) dedicated for public baths site on 22 April 1886; Grant Reserve & Goldstein Park (Part) (82505) reserved for public recreation on 29
April 1960; and ocean pool area under Licence LI589780 from the Minister administering the Crown Land Management Act 2016.
Term of Proposed Licence: Three (3) years. Commences 1 January 2026 and expires 31 December 2028.
Proposed Licensee: Randwick & Coogee Ladies Swimming Association Inc.
Purpose of Proposed Licence: Occupation of the McIvers Ladies Baths for use as ocean swimming baths and ancillary facilities.

Randwick Golf Club Reserve Lease
In accordance with Section 47 of the Local Government Act 1993. Council proposes to grant a Lease for the land known as Randwick Golf Course as set-out below.
Land: Property known as Randwick Golf Club Reserve (D500089), 3R Howe Street, Malabar.
Term of Proposed Lease: Five (5) years commencing 1 January 2026 and expires 31 December 2030.
Proposed Lessee: Randwick Golf Club Limited
Purpose of Proposed Lessee: The site shall be used by the Lessee as a golf course.

Term of Proposed Licence: Three (3) years. Commences 1 January 2026 and expires 31 December 2028.
Proposed Licensee: Coogee Fishing Club & Volunteer Sea Rescue Inc. Y1418826
Purpose of Proposed Licence: Fishing Club and Volunteer Sea Rescue and boat storage

In accordance with Section 47A of the Local Government Act 1993 Council proposes to grant a Lease for the land known as 40A Arden Street, Clovelly as set-out below.
Land: Pt Lot 23 DP 2214, Pt Lot 24 DP 2214, Pt Lot 7 DP 2424, Pt Lot 8 DP 2424, Pt Lot 9 DP 2424, known as Clovelly Child Care Centre, 40A Arden Street, Clovelly.
Term of Proposed Lease: Five years. Commences 1 January 2026 and expires 31 December 2030.
Proposed Lessee:  Clovelly Child Care Centre ABN 22 438 858 070.
Purpose of Proposed Lease: Child Care Centre.
