Council publishes a range of information in the local paper to advise the community of key projects, items on exhibition, tender/quotation opportunities and more. Please see the list below of all items currently on public notice and public exhibition with Randwick City Council.

In accordance with Section 47 of the Local Government Act 1993 Council proposes to grant a Lease for the purpose as set-out below.

Grant Reserve & Goldstein Park (Part) Reserve Lease

Land: Property known as Coogee Surf Life Saving Club located within Grant Reserve & Goldstein Park (Part) Reserve at 135-143R Beach Street, Coogee.
Term of proposed Lease: Commences 1 October 2022 and terminates 30 September 2042.
Proposed Lessee: Coogee Surf Life Saving Club
Purpose of proposed Lease: Surf Club.

Alcohol Free Zone proposed: Green St, Maroubra

Randwick City Council resolved to establish an Alcohol Free Zone for the length of Green Street from Anzac Pde east until the intersection of Garden Rd Maroubra. It will be in place until 30 November 2023 and reviewed as part of the Randwick Alcohol Free Zones audit.

Proposal:

(a)

  • an Alcohol Free Zone be established at Green Street in Maroubra Junction running along Green Street between Anzac Parade and Garden Street (see map).
  • this prohibition be for all hours of the day and every day of the week;

(b)   as required, full consultation to take place with all the necessary bodies ie. local police, local liquor licensees etc.

Alcohol Free Zones prohibit the drinking of alcohol in specific public roads or car parks under the care and control of Council. AFZs do not include parks and reserves, which are separately regulated.

Alcohol Free Zones are established under the NSW Local Government Act.
