Birds Gully & Bunnerong Road Flood Study
Randwick City Council, along with Bayside Council are undertaking a Flood Study for the Birds Gully & Bunnerong Road catchment to identify the nature and extent of flooding in the area. Randwick Junction Town Centre Review

Malabar Boat Ramp: Design options
THIS CONSULTATION IS CLOSED 
Council is partnering with Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) to investigate and improve the Malabar Boat Ramp with the aim of improving safety and enhancing the experience for recreational users. Following community feedback in August 2016, three design layout options for upgrading the ramp have been developed and are now on exhibition.

The Spot Pedestrian Access and Mobility Plan
THIS CONSULTATION IS CLOSED 
Council is preparing a Pedestrian Access and Mobility Plan for "The Spot". The plan will help to provide safe, convenient and connected pedestrian routes in the area. To have your say, complete the online survey.

Coral Sea Park Basketball Court
THIS CONSULTATION IS CLOSED 
Council is proposing to build a junior basketball court at Coral Sea Park, Maroubra. The installation of the court is in response to numerous community requests for an outdoor court. Visit the website to view a map of the proposed location and comment on the project.

Maroubra Bay Floodplain Risk Management Study and Plan
THIS CONSULTATION IS CLOSED 
Council has just completed the draft Maroubra Bay Floodplain Risk Management Study and Plan to assess a variety of management approaches we can take to reduce the impact of flooding on residents in the Maroubra Bay catchment area. This follows on from our 2013 Flood Study which determined the behaviour and extent of flooding in the Maroubra Bay catchment. We invite you to view the plan and have your say.

K2K International Design Competition
THIS CONSULTATION IS CLOSED 
The four design entries were on public exhibition from 21 September to 5 October and were developed in response to a design brief prepared with the help of the community. The winner - JMD, Hill Thalis + Bennett and Trimble - was announced on 17 October 2016.

The National Parks Plan of Management for Kamay Botany Bay National Park

Draft Plan of Management for Kensington Park
THIS CONSULTATION IS CLOSED 
The Draft Plan of Management for Kensington Park is now on public exhibition. We have taken your ideas and aspirations to develop a Draft Plan of Management and draft Landscape Concept Plan for the park. Tell us what you think of the plan by sending a written submission or visiting us at our drop-in sessions on-site at Kensington Park in September.

Malabar boat ramp upgrade

Council is planning to upgrade the Malabar Boat Ramp at Long Bay to improve the facility for boat users and the local community. Draft Feasibility Study Report Ferry Wharves and Services between La Perouse and Kurnell
THIS CONSULTATION IS CLOSED 
Transport for NSW is seeking community feedback on a draft feasibility study for potential new ferry wharves at La Perouse and Kurnell. The report outlines the preferred locations for the proposed wharves, an overview of the potential services which could be provided at the wharves and a review of potential environmental, social and heritage impacts.

Malabar Headland National Park Eastern Walking Track
THIS CONSULTATION IS CLOSED. 
National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) is currently running an engagement process for the proposed construction of a new coastal walking track (Boora Point Track), a heritage loop track  which will pass by the World War II heritage buildings and rock angler access in the eastern section of Malabar Headland National Park. The proposed 3.7km Boora Point walking track would provide formal public access to the eastern section of Malabar Headland National Park, connecting South Maroubra Beach and Malabar Beach via the coast and providing a new link in the Eastern Beaches Coastal Walk.

Kensington Park and Oval Plan of Management (stage one)

Randwick City Council is preparing a Plan of Management and concept design for Kensington Park and Oval to guide future improvements to the park over the next 10 years. We want to know how you use the park, what you love about it and how you think it could be improved. The consultation was open from 17 June to 3 July 2016. 

2017 Budget and Operational Plan
THIS CONSULTATION IS CLOSED. 
Each year, Randwick City Council prepares a budget and operational plan which outlines our proposed activities and works for the following financial year. We would love to hear what you think about it and anything we could do to improve your local area in the future. Light rail parking recovery plan

Name your new Council
THIS CONSULTATION IS CLOSED. 
Waverley and Randwick Councils are calling on the eastern suburbs community to get behind naming the proposed new amalgamated council. Under a merger proposal by the NSW Government, the new council would start in mid 2016 and combine the current councils of Waverley, Randwick and Woollahra resulting in a new eastern suburbs council that stretches from Watsons Bay to La Perouse.
Competition period: 7 April 2016 - 22 May 2016 

Newmarket Green (Inglis) Development Application
THIS CONSULTATION IS CLOSED. 
Randwick City Council has extended the public exhibition period for a development application for the Inglis Newmarket Green site in Randwick until 12 April 2016. Due to public interest, the application which was meant to be on exhibition from 3 March 2016 to 5 April 2016 - will be extended for another seven days. The application is for a Stage 1 proposal including subdivision into 9 development lots, 1 public open space lot, 4 public roads, building envelopes for 19 buildings ranging in height from 2 to 8 storeys with an indicative number of 750 residential dwellings, 2163m2 retail/commercial uses, an urban plaza, 5000m2 public park and adaptive reuse of Newmarket House and Big Stable Building for residential and/or commercial uses. The application has an estimated value of almost $160M and will be determined by the Joint Regional Planning Panel - not Randwick City Council.

Malabar Headland Coastal Walkway
THIS CONSULTATION IS CLOSED. 
Randwick City Council and the National Parks and Wildlife Service are planning to extend the Coastal Walkway from South Maroubra Beach to Malabar Beach. The 1km proposed walkway will offer stunning ocean views across Malabar Headland to Maroubra Bay and will be the first public access to the newly created Malabar Headland National Park in 150 years. This is an exciting new project and we want to hear your thoughts on the planned track.

Electric vehicles survey
THIS CONSULTATION IS CLOSED. 
Are you thinking about buying a new car? Would you consider an electric car? As part of the 3-Council Environment Program run by Randwick, Waverley and Woollahra Councils, we want to find out more about people’s attitudes towards electric vehicles and potential barriers. This survey is being undertaken to help inform decision makers on the feasibility of providing public EV charging stations in public locations across Sydney's eastern suburbs. The survey will take about two minutes!

Merger proposal – Randwick, Waverley, Woollahra Councils
THIS CONSULTATION IS CLOSED. 
The NSW Government is seeking feedback on its plan to create a new eastern beaches council by merging Randwick Council with neighbouring Waverley and Woollahra Councils. This would create a new council of 274,000 residents spanning the eastern suburbs from Watsons Bay to La Perouse and deliver cost savings. The proposal is currently on public exhibition and submissions can be made online to the Office of Local Government. A public inquiry is scheduled for 4 February 2016 and members of the public can attend and speak. Randwick City Council is providing a free community bus transfer from Randwick Town Hall to the venue at Rose Bay for interested residents. The shuttle will depart Randwick Town Hall at 12.30pm and 6.30pm and return to Randwick Town Hall following the conclusion of each session. Please be at the Town Hall at least 15 minutes before departure. Bookings are required by phoning Lynn Albert on 9399 0813 or lynn.albert@randwick.nsw.gov.au.

William St, Randwick Parking Recovery Plan: 
THIS CONSULTATION IS CLOSED. 
Randwick City Council is proposing to introduce angle parking to increase the supply of onstreet parking. This will partly compensate for the loss of parking caused by the construction of light rail. If you live nearby or park in the area, view the plans and have your say. Exhibition period: 18 December 2015 - 8 January 2016

Modification 4 - CBD and South-East Light Rail Project
THIS CONSULTATION IS CLOSED.
NOTE: This is a third party consultation. The Department of Planning is currently exhibiting a proposal to amend the approved plans for the light rail project by relocating the Randwick Terminus from High Cross Park to High Street. Randwick Council is supportive of this proposal and you can read more about it in our media statement from September 2015. Public exhibition: 27 November - 11 December 2015. 

Newmarket Green (Inglis site) Development Control Plan amendments
THIS CONSULTATION IS CLOSED.
Randwick Council is proposing some changes to the planning controls for the planned redevelopment of the Inglis stableyards site on Barker St in Randwick to strengthen the delivery of public benefits. The changes are designed to ensure the proposed public open space onsite is useable and accessible and that 5% of the residential housing is provided as affordable housing for key workers such as hospital staff and essential services personnel. Alcohol Free Zones (AFZs)
THIS CONSULTATION IS CLOSED.
Council is proposing to renew our existing Alcohol Free Zones for another four years until 2019. This proposal includes continuing the existing alcohol ban on Australia Day in Coogee and Clovelly beachside parks. View and have your say. Public exhibition: 15 September - 15 October 2015

Summary of 2014-15 Financial Reports
THIS CONSULTATION IS CLOSED.
Council is required under the Local Government Act to give notice that the audited Financial Reports of the 2014-15 financial year will be presented to a Council meeting on Tuesday 22 September 2015. Interested residents can view the reports and may lodge a submission in writing or via email. Public exhibition: 2 September 2015 - 30 September 2015.

Pesticide Use Notification Plan

Tell us what you think about Council’s revised Pesticide Use Notification Plan. The plan outlines Council’s notification process for pesticide use in public outdoor spaces owned or controlled by Council. It has been prepared in accordance with the requirements of the Pesticides Regulation 1995 and will update and supersede the existing 2006 Pesticides Use Notification Plan. Public exhibition: 1 September - 29 September 2015.

Mahon Pool amenities building
THIS CONSULTATION CLOSED 31 MARCH 2015. 
The existing building is reaching the end of its usable life, is inadequate, lacks disability access and is too close to the rock shelf and cliff for safety. Council has decided to demolish the existing building and build new toilets and change rooms. When designing the new building, we needed to take account of the existing sewer pipe and the storm water drain. This new public building will serve Mahon Pool and the Coastal Walkway users, Swim Club members and visitors to the Reserve.

THIS CONSULTATION IS CLOSED. The Councillors' Expenses & Facilities Policy must be reviewed annually. The 2014-15 policy is on public exhibition from Tuesday 18 November 2014 to Tuesday 16 December 2014 in accordance with the requirements of Section 253 of the Local Government Act. No changes are proposed to the current policy. 

Food scraps survey
THIS CONSULTATION IS CLOSED. During late October 2014, Randwick City Council posted a survey to every household in Randwick City seeking your comments on introducing a City-wide kitchen food scraps collection service for apartments from July 2015. Please complete and post the survey back to Council or complete the survey online. The survey closes 24 November 2014.

Inclusive playground at Chifley Reserve
THIS CONSULTATION IS CLOSED. We asked parents who would like to be part of a working group to help develop the design and chose equipment for a new playground in Chifley Sports Reserve to cater for children of all abilities. For the working group we were looking for local parents living in Randwick City who have a child with special needs. The working group has now started meeting and we are uploading notes from the meetings to our special website.

Light Rail to Randwick
THIS CONSULTATION IS CLOSED. Find out more about the State Government's CBD and South East Light Rail Project which will see light rail built from Circular Quay to Randwick and Kingsford. Work is due to start in 2015.

Coogee Bowling Club 
THIS CONSULTATION IS CLOSED. Tell us what you think of a fitness group using part of Coogee Bowling Club. The Bowling Club and the F45 Fitness Group want to install a group fitness centre, using part of the club building and the green at the eastern end. They have approached Council about this and Council is asking for community feedback on the proposal

Light rail to Randwick - Kingsford Car Park
THIS CONSULTATION IS CLOSED. We want to know what you think about Council's plans to acquire land on Rainbow Street in Kingsford next to the Kingsford 9-ways roundabout to create a multi-storey car park. Is car parking important to you and would this help local businesses and residents affected by light rail?
