Randwick City Council is committed to making the Randwick LGA inclusive and safe for everyone including LGBTIQ+ communities.

LGBTIQA+ is an acronym which stands for: Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex, Queer/Questioning, Asexual, and the + represents sexual orientations and gender identities that are not specified in the acronym.

LGBTIQA+ Days of Significance

Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Festival

One of the world’s largest LGBTQIA+ festivals, featuring parades, performances, and community events. It’s a cornerstone of queer culture in Sydney.

Sydney Mardi Gras Fair Day

The rampant rainbow extravaganza brings together every corner of our communities, with a dog show, DJs and dancefloors joining food, retail and community stalls, the celebration goes all day long.

Sydney Mardi Gras Parade

The Sydney Mardi Gras is an event attended by hundreds of thousands of people from around Australia and overseas. Mardi Gras is the largest Pride event in Oceania.

Celebrates trans and gender-diverse people and their achievements.

Raises awareness of asexual identities and experiences.
