Background
Randwick City Council is dedicated to improving facilities for the community. This project responds to the community's request for improved play spaces within Randwick City Council. The goal is to enhance these spaces by incorporating more exciting and adventurous equipment that caters to a wide range of ages and abilities. Council is committed to maintaining a high level of community satisfaction regarding our open spaces.
Upon the conclusion of a community consultation, Council has finalised the design and is ready to commence construction.
What’s Planned?
The current play equipment, which is approximately 20 years old, is now outdated. The proposed upgrade will include the installation of new play equipment, rubber soft fall surfaces, and seating to encourage more families to visit and enjoy the park.
The upgrade includes:
- A brand new playground for little ones to enjoy
- Little Bay’s first outdoor gym with training equipment to suit all abilities
- Upgrading the basketball court to be an official half court with line markings
