Stop by the Bayview Gallery this weekend and meet the Bayview's own Sue Liu in person!
Chat about her art, the marine environment, diving, creativity and conservation, enjoy the 50+ artworks on the walls, and take the opportunity to browse through Sue's pop-up artisan market to buy artworks, limited-edition prints, t-shirts, postcards, stickers and more directly from the artist herself. There's a free education sheet and souvenir postcard for every visitor.
Sue Liu – known as Wildcard-Sue – is the second artist invited to show in The Bayview, as her stunning marine images bring the fragile and spectacular underwater ecosystem of Kamay Botany Bay into the Museum itself.
Inspired by her passion for the sea and scuba diving in Sydney, Wildcard-Sue's exhibition Marine Dream in Botany Bay is sure to submerge you into an forgettable dream on the shore of the Bay. This show features 50+ original artworks drawn using mainly a black Artline pen and Tombow markers. Sue is a self-taught illustrator, observational artist and scuba diver, and brings the Bay's curious creatures to life here in her first solo gallery show.
Sue will be in the gallery between 10am and 2pm on Friday 24 March, and between 10am and 3pm on Saturday and Sunday. PLEASE NOTE: The Museum does not currently have disabled access to the first floor.
