Below Sea Level showcases stunning water photography created by Glenn Duffus, a local artist with over 30 years of experience. With water levels rising four millimetres each decade, Glenn set out to capture and document the sea level rise, swimming with his water camera at dawn and dusk in Sydney Harbour.

The La Perouse Museum invited Glenn to exhibit in the Bayview Gallery as here on the Headland we’re surrounded by the ocean. His images invite us to change our perspective and see things in a new light, to appreciate the current sea level, and to enjoy the environment around us.

The exhibition showcases a collection of canvases and acrylics, all offering a rare water angle of two of Australia’s iconic landmarks. These images were captured from the waters off Kirribilli, Mrs. Macquarie’s Chair, Barangaroo and Blues Point.

Glenn is renowned for his unique portrayal of Sydney's Eastern Suburbs from a water vantage point. His style is characterized by vibrant colours, abstract compositions, and a commitment to representing locations authentically, without relying on digital manipulation. Glenn has run a boutique photography studio since 1992.
