This week join us at our Anzac Day Dawn Service on Thursday 25 April at Goldstein Reserve, where we will commemorate and pay tribute to our servicemen and servicewomen. The Dawn Service starts at 5.30am and includes a wreath laying ceremony, the Last Post bugle call, a minute’s silence, and singing of the New Zealand anthem and Australian anthems in English and in Dharawal language.

The Dawn Service is a free event and will also be livestreamed on Randwick Council's Facebook page.

We have celebrated Youth Week 2024 in a number of ways across a number of outdoor spaces and in our library and it’s been great to see so many young people attend a diverse range of activities.

We close a successful week celebrating our young people with the South East Block Party, which will be held this afternoon, Wednesday 24 April 2024, at Coral Sea Park in Maroubra.

This is the fourth year that Randwick Council, in partnership with Weave Youth & Community Services and local artist Kobie Dee, will be bringing the event to the community.

Lastly, next week on Wednesday 1 May we will be holding a community vigil for Domestic Violence Remembrance Day. In Australia, one woman is murdered each week by someone known to her. Join us at the vigil at High Cross Park in Randwick, to honour those women who have lost their lives because of domestic and family violence.
