Coogee Dawn Service 2022

Anzac Day is a National day of remembrance and commemoration. Commemorative services are held each year at dawn, the time of the original Gallipoli landing.

The Coogee Anzac Day Dawn Service which is produced in collaboration with the Coogee Randwick Clovelly RSL sub-branch, was held at 5.30am on Monday 25 April at Goldstein Reserve and approximately 6,000 community members attended.

The service was livestreamed on Facebook and the video can be watched below.

The service included a Welcome to Country, prayer, hymn, laying of wreaths, Last Post bugle call, a minute’s silence, the New Zealand and Australian anthems and also the National anthem sung in Dharawal language, and other special musical performances by Amber Lawrence, Bondi Brass, the Sydney Chamber Choir and South Coogee Public School Choir.

Anzac Day Coogee March 2022

On Monday 25^th April, at 9.30am, the Coogee Randwick Clovelly RSL sub-Branch organised a March for current serving members and veterans, from the Coogee Diggers on Byron Street to Coogee Beach. Community members who have attended the Dawn Service were encouraged to visit one of the local Coogee businesses for breakfast and then watch the March proceed down Coogee Bay Road.
