Everything’s coming up roses for a number of local businesses who were recognised as the best of the bunch at the Randwick City Business Excellence Awards gala dinner presented by Randwick Council and Precedent Productions at Royal Randwick Racecourse.

Randwick Mayor Dylan Parker presented Maroubra business, If The Florist, with the hotly contested Business of the Year award. Florist Ivan Ferreira has worked work with Sydney's leading florists, inspiring him to create his own brand. Born in Brazil, Ivan takes inspiration for his creative floral arrangements from the seaside, tropical landscape and freedom.

Best Coffee was won by Coogee’s The Lion and Buffalo, Best Café was awarded to Randwick’s The Shed, and Clove Lane, also located in Randwick, took out Best Restaurant.

Clovelly’s Madame and Yves were awarded Best Bakery and Coogee Lady K Hair Artistry were recognised as Best Hairdresser, while Kingsford’s Auto Express took home Best Automotive Services.
