Summer alcohol restrictions now in place for 2017/18

Alcohol restrictions are now in place at Coogee, Maroubra, Malabar, Clovelly and La Perouse beachside parks on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day and Australia Day.
Alcohol is already prohibited on all eastern suburbs beaches.
NSW Police will have an increased presence over the summer months enforcing the bans.
The move follows the permanent ban of alcohol at all Coogee beachside parks following an out of control Christmas Day party in 2016.
Dates of alcohol restrictions
- Midnight 24 Dec to 6am 27 Dec 2017
- Midnight 30 Dec 2017 to 6am 2 Jan 2018
- 8pm 25 Jan to 6am 27 Jan 2018

- Gordon’s Bay Reserve, Clovelly
- Jack Vanny Reserve, Maroubra
- Arthur Byrne Reserve, Maroubra

- Yarra Recreation Reserve, La Perouse
