Supporting creative arts and cultural projects

Overview

The Community Creative investment stream aims to support the growth of creativity within Randwick City by funding a range of projects that provide opportunities for creative practitioners, groups or organisations to showcase creative arts and culture within the City.

Program provisions

  • Up to $20,000 in financial support ($10,000 limit for sole traders)
  • In-kind support by waiving of  fees for Council venues, facilities or services
  • A combination of funding and in-kind support

Are you seeking a fee waiver only?

Applicants for fee waivers need to demonstrate alignment with the eligibility and objectives of Community Creative. Applications will close once the annual budget has been expended.

Eligible applicants

  • Not-for-profit organisations
  • Creative arts organisations whose proposed initiative is not for profit
  • Social enterprises
  • Sole traders
  • Volunteer-based community groups and associations

Stream objectives

The objectives of Community Creative are to:

  • Increase Randwick's reputation as a creative and cultural hub
  • Increase activation of Randwick City Council's creative and cultural spaces
  • Encourage excellence and innovation in the delivery of arts and culture projects
  • Increase access and community participation in the arts and recognise the contribution of First Nations people

How to  Apply

Applications for cash grants may be submitted during open rounds only. Council conducts three rounds per year (this may be subject to change in future).
