Supporting creative arts and cultural projects
Overview
The Community Creative investment stream aims to support the growth of creativity within Randwick City by funding a range of projects that provide opportunities for creative practitioners, groups or organisations to connect communities and showcase creative arts and culture within the City.
Community Creative is currently closed to applications. Upcoming round dates will be posted here shortly.
Please see below for information on eligibility, objectives, and how to apply.
Program provisions for successful applicants may include:
- Up to $20,000 in financial support ($10,000 limit for sole traders)
- In-kind support by waiving of Council venue fees
- A combination of funding and in-kind support
Eligible applicants:
- Not-for-profit organisations
- Creative arts organisations whose proposed initiative is not for profit
- Social enterprises
- Individuals and sole traders
- Volunteer-based community groups and associations
Stream objectives
The objectives of Community Creative are to:
- Increase Randwick's reputation as a creative and cultural hub
- Increase activation of Randwick City Council's creative and cultural spaces
- Encourage excellence and innovation in the delivery of arts and culture projects
- Increase access and community participation in the arts and recognise the contribution of First Nations people

Applications
Applications for cash grants are made online during open round dates only. Please see the round dates for 2024 in the table below.
Applications for fee waivers may be made at any time (until the annual fee waiver budget is expended) using this form: randwick.smartygrants.com.au/FeeSupport
