All beachside parks around Coogee, Clovelly, Maroubra, Little Bay, Malabar, Maroubra and La Perouse Beaches will be alcohol-free for the summer 2022-23 public holidays.
The restrictions have been in place on the public holiday days for a number of years to increase public safety and to reduce the potential for alcohol-related violence.
Eastern Beaches Local Area Command and Randwick City Rangers will have an increased presence over summer to keep our beaches and town centres safe and inviting for everybody to use.
All Randwick City beaches are permanently alcohol-free. Coogee Beach and beachside parks are also subject to a permanent alcohol ban.
The alcohol restrictions for Bundock Park - Clovelly, Jack Vanny Reserve - Maroubra, Arthur Byrne Reserve - Maroubra Cromwell Park - Malabar, Yarra Bay Bicentennial Park - Phillip Bay, and Gwea Reserve -Yarra Bay apply:
