Bold visions for the future of the creative arts, transport and open spaces in Randwick City have been released this week by Randwick City Council for community comment.
The 10-year strategies are the result of community consultation undertaken in 2019 and 2020 and detailed studies into each area analysing community need, service gaps and emerging trends.
Randwick Mayor Danny Said encouraged the community to view the plans and have their say.
“These strategies are important as they will form the basis of our four-year delivery programs and annual operational plans and budgets,” says the Mayor.
“The strategies are easy to read and help give the community a shared understanding of the strategic direction Council is headed.”
Each of the strategies includes objectives and detailed strategic approaches such as:
Open Space and Recreation Strategy:
- Complete the Coastal Walkway between Clovelly and La Perouse.
- Advocate for public access to all of Malabar Headland.
