Jazz Money is a Wiradjuri artist, poet and filmmaker whose work explores language, storytelling, memory and First Nations connections to place. Their exhibition "Horizon" at La Perouse Museum considers the meeting of saltwater and freshwater stories, drawing connections between the coastal landscape of La Perouse and broader Aboriginal histories, knowledge and identity.

Their award-winning film WINHANGANHA will be playing throughout the night in the empty shopfront. A striking visual essay that weaves together archival footage, spoken-word poetry, sound and music to examine how archives have recorded, interpreted and often controlled stories about First Nations people. Histories, resilience and the power of cultural memory.

A Poem Just for You - Miles Merrill

Every heart holds a story. Every moment has a verse. Share a memory, a feeling, or a few words with our poet, and watch them bloom into a poem written just for you. Come as you are, leave with a little piece of poetry to call your own.

Originally from Chicago, Miles Merrill is a writer, performer, facilitator and event coordinator who combines poetry with theatre, experimental audio, hip-hop beats, stand-up and, occasionally, political confrontation. Miles introduced poetry slam to Australia, co-wrote and co-directed 'Slamming for the Sydney Festival' and performed with UK DJ Billy Bizniz at the Sydney Opera House. Internationally, Merrill has performed in Krakow's Audio Art Festival, and writers' festivals in Bali, Beijing, Vancouver and Calgary.

Adara Enthaler is a spoken word poet and the host of Enough Said Poetry Slam on Dharawal Land. Adara has featured at the South Coast Writers Festival, Yours & Owls Festival, Heroines Festival, Story-Fest, Narellan Poetry Slam, Wollongong Writers Festival, Viva la Gong, the National Folk Festival and more. Her work has appeared in the Heroines Anthology Vol II, Baby Teeth Literary Journal, and the Baby Teeth Anthology, as well as her self-published poetry chapbooks Equidistant (2017) and Crowdsourced Poems (2022).

• Event clearways will apply to certain streets in and around The Spot. Temporary parking restrictions will be enforced in the lead up to the event. Vehicles will be towed if they are parked in Event clearways.
• Event Clearways from 2:30 to 23:00, weekly from Thursday 24 September to Thursday 29 October 2026 (inclusive)
• St Paul Street, both sides, between Perouse Road to Daintrey Crescent (to the west end of Daintrey Crescent on St Pauls St)

• Road Closures from 15:30 to 23:00 weekly from Thursday 24 September to Thursday 29 October 2026 (inclusive):
• St. Paul’s St – between Perouse Road St to Nancye St with a soft closure from Nancye St to Lee St and entry to the west end of Daintrey Crescent.
• Nancye St, for 25 metres, south from St Paul St
• Local access to be provided to:

• Due to the partial closure of St Paul’s Street, please be advised that the following bus stops will temporarily be closed
every Thursday from 24 September – 29 October 2026 (inclusive) from 15:30 to 23:00

• Dudley Street at St Paul’s Street (373, 373X)
• The 373 and 373X services will still be available via stops on Perouse Road between St Paul’s Street and Soudan Street. Please check signs attached to the current bus stops, and the website transportnsw.info for details.
