Hiring Rates

Council has two rates for hiring a hall:

  • the Commercial/Private rate is used when it is for a private function or when a group or organisation charges an entry fee or participation charge.
  • the Non-Commercial rate is for non-commercial groups. Parties claiming non-commercial/charity rate must provide, prior to hire, a Notice of Endorsement for Charity Tax Concessions from the Australian Taxation Office.

How to apply

  • The first thing you need to do is contact Council's Call Centre on 1300 722 542 to speak to the Caretaker to enquire if the hall is available on the date you prefer.
  • Hirers must comply with the Community Facilities COVID-19 protocols, a copy of which will be provided.
  • Once a booking date has been agreed verbally, a tentative booking is held for one week. You are then required to do a site inspection with the Caretaker before filling in the Community Hall Hire application form.
  • The Council expressly reserves the right in its absolute discretion to refuse to accept any engagement and the Council shall not be liable in any way for any loss or damage or otherwise in consequence of the exercise of this right.
  • The hiring fees and bond should be paid in full 2 weeks prior to the event.
