During both WWI and WWII all Sydney racecourses were utilised by the military for training and recruitment bases. There was great debate around whether racing should continue during the wars and ultimately it was decided to keep going as it was seen as being good for morale.

Learn about our history during the wars here. All race names will be ANZAC themed and the no.1 saddlecloth in each race will see the respective jockey run in ANZAC colours. We will hold a commemorative service on the day. Enjoy a day of great racing, food and entertainment full of value and variety including free entry and drinks starting from $2.

Other highlights on the day include: ANZAC ceremony at 1:30pm Complimentary ANZAC biscuits Spriggs of Rosemary handed out at the gates. An Australian flavour to all food throughout the afternoon General Admission entry is free
