Last week I was delighted to meet with NSW Transport Minister Andrew Constance and Member for Coogee Bruce Notley-Smith as they announced that High Cross Park had been saved.

The NSW Government has listened to the community and Council and decided to relocate the light rail terminal from High Cross Park to a new High Street plaza, delivering a better customer experience for commuters, residents and shoppers.

This amendment will help protect the historic park and its 90-year-old war memorial, save trees, reduce parking loss and reduce construction costs.

This is a great win for our community and the result of years of work behind the scenes to deliver a significant improvement for Randwick.

Well done to the Transport for NSW team and State Government for taking a considered, proactive and progressive approach and listening to our community.
