Student Bicycle Education program - Trial

The Student Bicycle Education Program Trial is an online program designed to be completed individually, in partnership with a parent/guardian or in a group classroom setting.

The online test includes safety questions, road rules, hazard awareness, riding with others and legal responsibilities including what is and isn’t a legal e-bike.

Practical tips and information are also provided to improve rider experience and safety.  The program is designed for all bicycle riders (including e-bikes) and a simplified version is designed for primary aged students.

Participation in the Student Bicycle Education Trail

If your child attends a school in Randwick City and you would like them to participate the Student Bicycle Education Program trial, you can register and complete the digital student bicycle program. As a parent or carer it would be beneficial if you sat with your young person as they undertake the course.

How it works

  • The student registers with their email and their parent or carers email address.
  • Student starts the test either individually, with their parent or in class
  • Complete the test and:
    • If unsuccessful, the student will be prompted to review the incorrect answers and go back to correct them.  The test can also be saved and completed later.
  • Once successful, the student will receive confirmation and be able to download a digital card onto their smart phone wallet.

Parents/guardians will receive an email confirming their children’s participation as well as follow up information on safe riding.

Schools and students will be invited to further develop and enhance the program as part of the trial.
