There have been a few more traffic cones and trucks around Maroubra Junction recently, with Randwick City Council starting the first stage of works to upgrade the major shopping and dining hub on Monday 14 July 2025.

Council staff are carrying out works along Anzac Parade, between Maroubra Road and Boyce Road, including installing new paving and street furniture. They will also be planting new trees, landscaping and carrying out minor repairs on infrastructure.
