Features

The Library is located in the heart of busy Maroubra Junction. It is named after the late Lionel Bowen who was Deputy Prime Minister of Australia in the 1980s, Federal Member for Kingsford Smith from 1969 to 1990 and the Mayor of Randwick in 1948.

The Lionel Bowen Library boasts a collection of 124,000 items including books, magazines, CDs and DVDs. The library has a dedicated Local History room, study room (bookings required), has free Wi-Fi, 23PCs (including three PCs reserved for seniors and four reserved for children) and photocopying, scanning and printing facilities.
