Keep the Chains Tight is a new performance by artist Kiera Brew Kurec exploring modalities of preservation, communication and transmission of ritual. The performance draws on Brew Kurec’s experience of growing up within the Ukrainian diaspora and the rituals that have been passed on to her.

Over the course of an hour, nine performers will engage in a series of repetitive ritual action that is both dynamic and meditative. This work is presented with the assistance of the Randwick City Council Community Creative Grants Program.
