The Coogee Island Challenge (Spring Edition) is one of the first major ocean swims on the calendar, giving swimmers an early chance to take on the legendary Wedding Cake Island circuit. With over 2,000 swimmers taking part in last year’s event, it’s fast becoming a must-do for ocean swimmers of all levels. Held in the spectacular waters off Coogee Beach, the event offers three swim distances (800m, 1km and 2.4km) to suit juniors, beginners, and seasoned competitors alike. Whether you’re looking for your first taste of ocean swimming or ready to test yourself around the island, this event marks the perfect start to the new season.
