What will you Learn?
- How microplastic affects our aquatic environment, wildlife and us.
- What are microplastics and where we can find them in our local community?
- How AUSMAP is helping to reduce this problem, along with your help!
- Gain hands-on experience and be a scientist for the morning & help collect a microplastic survey for AUSMAPs database - the largest nationally.
The Program will start with respected Aboriginal elder Aunty Maxine Ryan from La Perouse sharing her cultural knowledge, experiences, and stories of the local coastal area.
Enjoy a morning tea with fellow environmental enthusiasts while exchanging ideas and experiences.
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference and learn how citizen science is shaping the future of environmental conservation.
Suitable for 8 years and above. Children under 16 years need to be accompanied by an adult. Max 35 people.
