More than 400 children entered this year’s competition, which was open to students from kindergarten to Year 6 in Randwick City.

Mayor Parker thanked all the students who entered this year’s competition, saying he was impressed by the number and quality of the illustrations. “This competition is a wonderful way to celebrate the creativity of our young people,” Mayor Parker said. “Every year that we have this competition, I’m blown away by the imagination and thought that goes into each entry.

“Whether it’s a creative drawing of Santa, a family scene, the beach or animals, I love seeing how the festive season means something different to every child.”

This year’s top three entries from each category will be featured on Mayor Parker’s official Christmas cards and, for the first time, on Randwick Council’s street banners flying in town centres. Winners will also each receive a gift card prize.
