Regular Children's Activities

Our regular Children's activities are now delivered both in person at our branches or live online via Facebook or Zoom. We have rescheduled our beloved babies and toddler events as NSW Government restrictions and event space allow.

Bookings are essential for many of our programs, particularly for those delivered in person at the library.

Babies Love Books

Please join us in person at Lionel Bowen Library every Thursday at 10.30am* and at Margaret Martin Library every Friday at 10.30am* for our Babies Love Books program.

Babies Love Books is an early literacy session aimed at 0-12 months olds. Sing along to nursery rhymes and have fun with our Children’s Services team.

Bookings are essential for all events.

Bop 2 Books

Please join us in person on Mondays at Malabar Library, Tuesdays at Margaret Martin Library and Wednesdays at Lionel Bowen Library for our Bop 2 Books program aimed at 12-36 months olds. Sing along to nursery rhymes and have fun with our Children’s Services team.

Bookings are essential for all events.

Our Wednesday session will also be available to watch live online on our Facebook page.

Kids' Club and Spark in the Park

Kids' Club:

Please join us in person every Tuesday at Margaret Martin Library, every Wednesday at Lionel Bowen Library, or every Thursday at Malabar Library for our Kids' Club program.

Kids Club is an early literacy session aimed at 3-5 year olds. We will have a great time reading stories and learning new things.

Bookings are essential.

The events do not run on school holidays or on the first Wednesday of each month.

Spark in the Park:

Every first Wednesday of the month during school terms, join us outdoors for stories, songs and play for children 0-5 years of age. Look out for our colourful Spark truck in the park.

Bookings are essential.

Bookchat Live

Join the children's services team each Wednesday live at 12:00pm on Facebook for a quick chat about all things relating to books for children aged between 5 and 12 years old.

Bring along what you're reading with your children and join the discussion! If you’ve got something to share or a question to ask we would love to hear from you.
