Babies Love Books in Czech - Čteme s dětmi
A monthly program of rhymes, songs, stories and music in Czech language for children aged 0–5 years and their parents or carers. All welcome.
Básničky, písničky a čtení pro děti v češtině. Program se koná 1x za měsíc a je určený dětem 0-5 let a jejich rodičům i opatrovníkům.

Babies Love Books in French - Les Bébés Aiment Les Livres
A monthly program for children 0-5 years. Enjoy music, rhymes and stories in French language, every month of the year, starting from August 2025.

Babies Love Books in Japanese - 赤ちゃんのための 読み聞かせ
Babies Love Books in Japanese is a monthly program for children between 0-5 years. Children can enjoy music, rhymes and stories every month, except during school holidays and on public holidays.
毎月第3月曜日には、0-5歳までの日本語の絵本の読み聞かせを開催しています。 童謡や手遊び、わらべ歌なども取り入れています。親子で楽しく日本語にふれるふれあいましょう!

2025 Smartphone and Tablet Basic Training for Chinese-Speaking Seniors
2025 智能手機與平板電腦使用輔導班
Bookings are essential online. Only one registration is required to attend the tutoring sessions until the end of December 2025. Click here for bookings, terms and conditions.
Chinese-speaking seniors are invited to join this event once a month on the 3rd Thursday for tutoring sessions on basic skills in using smartphones, Android tablets or iPads. The sessions will be conducted in the Lionel Bowen Library Maroubra. Participants must be aged 55 years or over.
本輔導班為五十五歲或以上的長者解答日常使用智能電話或者平板電腦時遇到的問題。 免費活動，需通過網絡報名（您只需要報名一次即可參加全年的活動）。
Dates: Every 3rd Thursday of the month 2:00 - 4:00pm.

ESL Book Club 2025

Adults who speak English as a second language are welcome to join this weekly book club to discuss books with a group of like-minded people. Abridged versions of contemporary titles by popular authors (graded readers) are used for the discussions.
The ESL Book Club meets weekly on Tuesdays (excluding school holidays) 12.00-1.00 pm at Lionel Bowen Library.
Please note:
- You only need to register once to be able to attend the weekly program until 16 December 2025.
- Participants need to be able to attend most discussion meetings.
- All books will be provided. After registration you will receive an email with more details on how to arrange your first book collection.
English Conversation Classes

Randwick City Library provides English Conversation classes for people wishing to improve their English language skills. Migrants from all non-English speaking backgrounds are welcome to attend classes. This is a great way to meet new people and help you feel part of the community.
