Location & opening hours

Randwick City Library operates three libraries each with weekend and evening operating hours. Libraries are closed on public holidays.

Randwick City Library will reduce its opening hours around the Christmas and New Year's holidays.

Normal hours of operation will resume on Saturday, 7 January 2023. We are wishing everyone a safe and happy festive season!

Items due across the Christmas and New Year's period can be returned to the "out-of-hours" chute located at the front of each library location (and on the corner of Gale Road and Anzac Parade, Maroubra for Lionel Bowen Library).

If your reserved item (or item on Hold) becomes available while you’re away this holiday season, avoid losing your place in the queue. Simply suspend your holds for the dates you won’t be around. It's easy to do in the myLibrary app or online - watch this video to learn how or follow the instructions featured in this article.

And remember, our eLibrary is open 24/7 to access eBooks, eAudiobooks, films, documentaries, research databases and more.
