Resources at your library

The Learning English collection aims to assist all adult members of the community to achieve their desired competency in English by providing a wide range of learning material supporting language development. The collection consists of:

  • Books
  • Kits (combination of books and audio-visual material)
  • Graded abridged novels and workbooks

Language kits (books with audio-visual material) and fiction titles are divided in three levels:

  • Beginner
  • Intermediate
  • Advanced

These books are often accompanied by CDs, so that learners can read and listen to a story at the same time. This helps to develop better listening and reading skills.

The collection is also useful for native English speakers who wish to improve their existing language skills and as resource material for English teachers.

For more information, browse this collection in the catalogue, ask staff at a library location or contact us.
