Coral Sea Park Playground Upgrade
A new inclusive play space is being built
The playground at Coral Sea Park, Maroubra is being upgraded to create a new inclusive play space where local children of all ages, abilities and cultural backgrounds can play.
The upgrade is being funded by a NSW Government grant under the 'Everyone Can Play' grant program, with Randwick Council matching the funding, dollar for dollar. You can learn more about the grant program here.
Following consultation with the local users of the park, we have designed a playground with:
- Slides and swings for bigger kids
- Sensory play for toddlers
- Toddler swing
- Wheelchair accessible carousel
- More outdoor furniture, including a drinking fountain
- Molly's Memorial area will be protected and maintained during construction
