Kids' Autumn School Holiday Event: Paint-a-Book! (for school years K-2)

What do books mean to you? Celebrate your love of books by creating an artwork using a book as a canvas! The artworks created will be used as part of a large installation artwork by local artist Rosemary Strauchen in the library in June. Please note that these works cannot be taken home, there will be an additional art activity on offer that can be taken home. Works can be collected after the exhibition at the library has finished.

An exciting live version of the popular online social deduction game of teamwork and betrayal - Among Us. You've played it online... now play it live at Lionel Bowen library.

Among Us (the video game) was released in 2018 but became hugely popular breaking gaming records globally throughout the Covid years of 2020 and 2021. Up to 15 players join and take on the role of either crewmate or impostor, preparing their spacecraft for departure in a virtual world. A modern day adaptation of the old childhood favourite 'Murder in the Dark', the players need to use a process of elimination to identify the imposters and vote them out of the game to win.
