The very best of Randwick City Council's 2023 Women's Art Prize are on exhibition at Lionel Bowen Library! The women’s only competition encourages the women of our community to showcase their creative talents.

This exhibition is open during library opening hours.

The annual Women’s Art Prize spotlights the creativity and talent of women and brings members of the community together to celebrate the unique contribution that women make to our City.

The competition encourages women to showcase their creative talents, recognising the important contribution women make to families, workplaces and communities. The top 50 artworks are now on display at Lionel Bowen Library.

Open category:

Tied winner: ‘Morning Swimmers’ by Anne Cahill

Tied winner: ‘Chinoiserie and Cactus Flower’ by Natasha Ruffio

Runner-up: ‘My DNA’ by Natalie Bateman

Youth category:

Winner: ‘For Juliana’ by Natalie Townsend

Runner-up: ‘Painting, Watching, Sitting’ (appropriation of Philip Guston's "Painting, Smoking, Eating", 1972) by Charlie Kennedy-Wade.

Local category:

Winner: ‘Earth Equilibrium’ by Angela Nashaat

Councillor's Choice Award:

Winner: ‘Big Hat’ by Desanka Aleksovska

Runner-up: ‘Everything Else is Brown’ by Zoe Jones
