Over 50,000 Australian women are homeless and another 400,000 women over 45 are at risk of homelessness, with domestic violence and financial abuse being the largest causes.

UNSEEN artists listened to the stories from women who are experiencing or are at high risk of homelessness. By sharing their stories, the women provided a first-hand insight into the diversity of who finds themselves homeless and why.

The purpose of UNSEEN is to ensure the voices of women who have, or are experiencing homelessness are included in conversations which can inform and improve social policy.

Curator: Blur Projects. Originally, UNSEEN was supported by the City of Sydney the Women’s Electoral Lobby and Blur Projects.
