Coastal Inspirations Exhibition

05 February 2021 – 28 February 2021

This is an exhibition by the Wednesday artists and their tutor, Teresa Castellanos, from the Coast Centre Inc. at Little Bay. The exhibition draws inspiration from our beautiful coast, but is not limited to this and also displays other works that have been created at the coast.

Artists work in various mediums from oils on canvas, acrylics on canvas and watercolours, to block prints and mixed media on paper. The diversity in materials and subject matter, brings about an interesting and eclectic display of ideas, talent and technical skill.

This group of artists have come together over many years to paint, learn and share their understanding of art with each other and the community. Over the years, many of their works have been exhibited in group shows with the Randwick Art Society, the Annual Walsh’s Pharmacy Art Show, the Randwick International Women’s Exhibition, Randwick Children’s Hospital, The Little Bay Gallery, The Wattle Gallery and various other venues.

The artists and their tutor, Teresa, share a great love of art; creating art not only for themselves but for the community. The mural projects at the Castellorizian Aged Care and the Coast Centre are a credit to them and their ability to work as a group in creating art that brings beauty into the lives of others.

The exhibition, ‘Coastal Inspirations’ is located in the Lionel Bowen Library’s exhibition space.

Come along and have a look. It will be well worth your while.
