The program includes:
Marvellous Machines: Collage Stop Motion Animation – In this hands on session, you’ll work as a team to make a futuristic paper collage used as a background scene. Then you’ll create marvellous moving machines and animate your story using stop motion techniques. Bring your phone and download the free ‘Stop Motion Studio’ app. No worries if you don’t have a mobile, Angie will have one for you! For school years 3–6. Cost: $5.
A Roomful of Stories – Do you have a favourite story? Bring it to life as a diorama using craft and recycled materials. For school years K–6. Free!
Aladdin (rated PG) – Aladdin is a lovable street urchin who meets Princess Jasmine. He stumbles upon a magic oil lamp that unleashes a powerful, wisecracking, larger-than-life genie. Soon Aladdin and the genie embark on a dangerous mission to stop the evil sorcerer Jafar. For school years K–6. Free!
Summer Storytime Trail – Join us for rhymes, music and stories for young children, their parents and carers at various locations in Randwick City. Check your storytime passport to find out our location! For ages 0–5. Free!
Undercover Book Club K–2 – Join in a book discussion of The Children who Loved Books by Peter Carnavas celebrating books and stories. Chat about what you are reading, make awesome stuff and be the first to borrow our hottest new books. For school years K–2. Free!
Summer Reading Club Party – Celebrate the end of the Summer Reading Club. Check out the winning reviews and come dressed as a book character. For school years K–6. Free!
