Sustainability schools exchange

School exchange

As part of Council's Sustaining our City initiative funded by the 5 year environmental levy program, Randwick schools have been participating in our annual sustainability schools exchange. The exchange has enabled students from primary schools in Randwick to visits local schools in a number of regional areas of NSW and discover for themselves the local approaches underway to tackle relevant sustainability issues in those areas.

Over recent years, a regular visit has been made to Temora West Public School with the support of Temora Council as part of our Sister city program. Students from different Randwick schools have experienced firsthand and enjoyed the successful relationships and the various sustainability programs that Temora West Public School has achieved with its local community.

Further school visits and exchanges are planned annually as part of our Sustaining our City initiative.
