As we navigate our new normal, below is an update on DRLC's facilities and services as of 7 September 2020;
Pool Booking Changes
The weather is warming up and as a result demand for pool space is increasing. To ensure DRLC remains a COVID safe business we are implementing the following changes to pool bookings:
- Effectively immediately - Training Pool numbers have increased from 12 to 18 people.
- From Monday 14 September - all access to the Olympic Pool must be booked i.e. no “open” times.
- The Training Pool will be available on weekends throughout the school holidays (26 Sept - 11 Oct).
Aqua play is unavailable at any time, in any pool.
A new Group Fitness Timetable is on its way (commencing Monday 14 September) and cycle lovers listen up!
We will be re-introducing cycle classes and spin express. These will be run in the Group Fitness Studio until we can return to the Cycle Studio. While we won’t be able to run the amount of cycle classes we would normally, hopefully this will get you through :)
Gym/ Group Fitness Bookings
DRLC Usage Per Day
Customers are permitted to 1 x swim, 1 x gym session and 1 x group fitness class per day. You must swipe in and out on each of these sessions for contact tracing purposes. i.e. if going from the gym to the pool you must exit at reception and then re-enter. Booking double sessions is NOT permitted
Squads move to Direct Debit
We are currently in the process of moving squad payments to direct debit. This will negate having to come in to make payments and re-enrol. You should have received an email with all information from the Swim School. If you have not yet received this, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
Also, a big welcome back to our non-competitive squads.
We know you have missed swimming and we are sure you are enjoying being back in the water!
The Competition Pool is currently closed while it is being resurfaced. The old pebblecrete was making the pool look more like the moon surface, so having the pool tiled will make using it more enjoyable for everyone!
Originally scheduled to commence works in November, Council was fortunate to be able to bring this project forward when COVID-19 forced the closure of the centre. While completion of these works has encountered some unforeseeable delays, we are looking forward to re-opening the Competition Pool sometime in December. We appreciate this means that some of our programs and user groups have not been able to return as soon as we would have liked, but we look forward to welcoming you all back as soon as we possibly can.
