Join us in getting into the Olympic spirit with the DRLCathlon!

Our super coaches have come up with 10 x events, plus 1 bonus creative event.

How do i participate?

Members must record/ time/ film their attempts and share them on their socials. You will need to tag @mydrlc as part of your Facebook or Instagram post/story to qualify for a completed attempt.
You can take part in as many of the events and as many times as you like.
Get the household involved - all ages welcome!

Participants MUST adhere to NSW Health Guidelines at all times.

No physical prizes – but there will be virtual medals:
*complete all events = gold virtual medal
*complete 75% of events = silver virtual medal
*complete 50% of events = bronze virtual medal

Events:
Try One Event Per Day For The Duration of The Olympics

Run / walk – Heffron Park Running Track
2.5km around the whole of Heffron park
Complete it as quickly as possible or just aim to finish it.
Record time on your preferred device; post a screenshot and or action selfie (don’t forget to tag us!)

Run / walk – Malabar Headlands Trail (or similar trail)
+/- 6.5km or your selected trail distance
Complete it as quickly as possible or just aim to finish it.
Record time on your preferred device; post a screenshot and or action selfie (don’t forget to tag us!)

Cycle / skate / roll – Heffron Park Cycle Track
2km around the track
Complete it as quickly as possible, do as many rounds as you can in 30min, or aim to finish the track.
Record time on your preferred device; post a screenshot and or action selfie (don’t forget to tag us!)

Cycle / skate / roll – 2.5km / 5km / 10km
You can ride your favourite route, go around the block a few times, or discover a new track.
You can choose any form of human powered wheels to complete this; bike, skateboard, roller skates, scooter, etc.

Hang in There Challenge
Hang from a tree branch, playground monkey bars, swing set, outdoor gym pull-up bar (remember to sanitise), anything sturdy enough to hold your weight.
Hold on for as long as possible!
Get the kids involved and get them to film your effort.
Record time on your preferred device; post a screenshot and or action selfie (don’t forget to tag us!)

Burpee Challenge
Do as many burpees as you can in 90 seconds.
This can be done anywhere – get creative (hop off your bike and do a few burpees, dress up in some fancy-dress clothes, do them in your garden, etc.)
Don’t forget to film your attempt with the timer visible, post it/ share it, and tag us!

AMRAP
Do as many rounds as possible of a set in 10 mins
You can do this AMRAP as many btimes as you like and see how you improve each time.

Exercises:
30 x squats
20 x push-ups
10 x v-ups
10 x burpees
100 x skips w/ skipping rope

Netball/ Basketball
Netball: how many goals can you get in 2 mins.
once you’ve scored, run to the edge of the shooting circle and back.
Basketball: get as many goals in a row as you can from the free throw line.

Golf Trick Shot
Indoors or outdoors at home.
All you need is a golf club/ putter/ a ball/ rolled up piece of paper/ soft toy/ a fun track/ trick.. Get creative and get it in the hole!
You can do as many as you like.

Soccer Ball Juggle
How long can you keep the ball off the ground, no hands?
Juggle/ dribble / bounce the ball on your feet or knees and keep going!

Bonus Creative Game
Design your own fun game – indoors or outdoors.
Eg. Playing chess while playing ping pong, balance on one leg while juggling, egg and spoon race while rolling around on the ground, the floor is lava in fancy dress!
