What is NOX?
NOX, Latin for night, is a biannual night sculpture walk around the Randwick Environment Park. Every two years you can experience the natural environment like never before as artists from UNSW Art & Design transform the park and wetland into an illuminated outdoor art gallery.
In 2021, for three nights only artworks were installed around the park to form a leisurely 1.5km loop walk, starting and ending at the Randwick Community Centre. All artworks on the journey were powered and lit by renewable energy sources.
For more information contact our Events Team on 9093 6200 or email events@randwick.nsw.gov.au
A piece of the NOX Night Sculpture Walk, "Nostalgia Above", has remained at the Randwick Environment Park and can be viewed nightly from 4pm for the next few months, bringing colour and light to winter nights. More information can be found here.
Food & Drinks
In 2021, the food trucks and the bar traded from 5pm to 9pm. There was a diverse selection of mouth watering food trucks including Algae Fine Food (organic Vegan), Barbicrew (Brazilian BBQ), Big Dave’s Chipper Van, Hut dog, Vege4Love (Malaysian Vegetarian), Wafflo, Wholly Schnit, and coffee by Grind N Press Coffee Crew.
Archie Rose Distilling Co. brought their award-winning spirits to NOX in 2021, along with an offering of wine and beer. You can visit Archie Rose to learn more about Australia's most highly awarded distillery including gin, vodka, whisky and spirits experiences.
Gelato Messina pulled up in their famous retro gelato van serving up a range of highly delicious flavours. All their gelato is made from scratch, using their own recipes and the best ingredients they can get their hands on. Not only do they make, bake and create all of the additions like cookies, brownies, coulis, jams and meringues in their in-house bakery in Rosebery, but they’ve gone one step further by growing their own strawberries and hazelnuts, and even have their own dairy farm in country Victoria, providing them with super creamy jersey milk.
