Angela is a self-taught multidisciplinary artist based in Randwick with a deep love and concern for the environment that permeates her work.

She has been a community artist, designing and producing works with community members in public spaces, schools, community centres, hospitals and more, for nearly three decades. Her art is unique and is passionately crafted by hand; including found objects, fibre work, collages, photography and paintings. Angela is a mother of five children, and loves working and being in nature.

In her own words; "Sometimes society treats people like waste, but with knowledge, understanding and effort, beauty can manifest in all sorts of magnificent ways."

The Museum invited Angela to be the inaugural artist in the Bayview Gallery on the first floor – newly repurposed to host temporary shows by local artists – as her work touches on many of the Museum’s key themes including the environment, social history, and cultural and colonial connections. She recently was included in the group show Created at Blenheim House.

The Bayview Gallery is open during the La Perouse Museum's opening hours: Wednesdays & Fridays 10am - 2pm, Saturdays & Sundays 10am - 4pm.

Please note: this gallery is on the first floor and unfortunately does not currently have disabled access.
