Plans for protecting nurturing our community
Council has developed and adopted a suite of plans for protecting nurturing our community, from safety and crime prevention to housing assistance and disaster response.
They form part of Council's integrated planning framework.

Cultural
A Cultural Randwick City (Cultural Plan) is the Council's plan for guiding our City's cultural activities over a ten year period and to enhance funding opportunities for cultural development
Social Plan
An Inclusive Randwick City (social Plan) is Council's 10 year Plan to enhance opportunities for people living within Randwick City to be able to participate and be actively involved in community life.
Affordable housing
Randwick is one of five Councils proposed to be added to the State Environmental Planning Policy No. 70 Affordable Housing (Revised Schemes) which would allow Council to levy for an affordable housing contribution on development sites and urban renewal areas.
The draft policy is on exhibition until 31 January 2018 and further information can be found on the Department of Planning and Environment website.
Council’s application for inclusion in SEPP 70 is supported by an Affordable Housing Needs Analysis which demonstrates the need to increase the supply of affordable rental housing in the Randwick Local Government Area.
Council's affordable housing strategy details how we will respond to housing issues affecting the community. It provides Council with an implementation framework to help realise the Council's City Plan's aim for a 'liveable City'.
