New amenities underway at Paine Reserve

An upgrade to the current amenities building at Paine Reserve in Randwick is underway. The new facilities will provide wheelchair access and meet current standards for accessibility, lighting and ventilation. This popular reserve, which comprises of a playground, dog exercise park and sports field, is well used by the community and the current facilities are not meeting community needs.

The new facilities will comprise of:

The design has been created around maintaining some of the existing building where possible. Lighting will be improved by raising and reinstalling a new roof and adding windows, upgraded guttering will be installed to improve drainage, and the addition of an external accessible footpath as well as landscaping works will take place.

The new plan will include three new unisex toilets, an accessible toilet and two changerooms with shower and toilet, as well as a referees change room.

Work has begun to upgrade the amenities at Paine Reserve. The new building will be lighter and more accessible.
