The Spot Festival 2022

After a two-year, pandemic-induced hiatus, Randwick’s favourite street party, The Spot Festival, finally returns to add colour and festivity to The Spot, Randwick, on Sunday 13 March 2022, from 1pm to 8pm.

Food and market stalls, music, entertainment and activities for the whole family will take over the corner of Perouse Road and St Pauls Street, Randwick as we wave goodbye to summer and say hello to the return of large-scale community events.

“This is a great opportunity for people to come out and support their local stores, cafes, artisans and performers,” said Randwick Mayor Dylan Parker.

“The Spot Festival was the first event we needed to cancel in March 2020 at the start of the pandemic, it marked the first of so many huge changes that we all went through as a community. As a result, there is a particular excitement and enthusiasm surrounding the return of the event this year. It’s a beacon of hope that perhaps the worst is behind us and we can start to hold these wonderful large community events again.

“I look forward to welcoming everyone and joining in the celebrations on the day.”

Market stalls will offer plenty of delights for the casual shopper, with jewellery, homewares, clothing, vintage wares and unique gifts. There will also be bubbles and face painting for kids, story times held by Randwick Library as well as a dunking tank.

In addition to food stalls, local restaurants will expand their footpath dining to create a festive atmosphere and local bands Kaleidoscope Dream and Club Havana Band will keep the party going by playing as the sun sets.

There will be road closures and clearways ahead of the event and minimal changes to bus services. Please see our website for more information.
