Tickets to this year’s Anzac Day Dawn Service, to be held at 5.30am Sunday 25 April at Goldstein Reserve, Coogee, have been released to the public via Randwick Council’s website and Eventbrite.

Tickets to the 2021 Anzac Day Coogee Dawn Service, to be held at 5.30am Sunday 25 April at Coogee Beach, are now available to the public via Eventbrite.

The free event, held by Council in partnership with Coogee Randwick Clovelly sub-Branch, has a strictly limited capacity of 3,000 attendees to ensure it is COVID-safe.

The event will also be livestreamed to local venues including the Coogee Bay Hotel and Coogee Legion Club, as well as Council’s Facebook page and website for those not able to secure tickets. More information can be found at www.randwick.nsw.gov.au/anzac.

“The chance to honour the sacrifice of military personnel who served and died during war is one of Australia’s most important national occasions,” said Randwick Mayor Danny Said.

“Ideally, Anzac Day is a time that we can all come together in remembrance and solidarity to express our gratitude. While we can’t all gather on the shores of Coogee Beach this year, we have worked hard to provide our residents, and indeed the wider Sydney population, with various ways to participate in Anzac Day this year.”

The hour-long dawn service will include a Welcome to Country, prayer, hymn, laying of wreaths, Last Post bugle call, a minute’s silence, the New Zealand and Australian National anthems and other special musical performances by Bondi Brass and the Sydney Chamber Choir.

General admission tickets can be accessed via this Eventbrite page.

An allocation of tickets has been put aside for local RSLs as well as current and former service men and women. These can be accessed by calling Randwick Council or emailing events@randwick.nsw.gov.au.

The Dawn Service will be followed by a march for current and former servicemen and servicewomen at 9.30am, starting from Coogee Diggers, down Coogee Bay Road to Goldstein reserve.
