With a lot of events needing to be cancelled due to COVID-19, we've been looking for a way to not only provide entertainment but also support local entertainers in a COVID-safe way.

We've scheduled a series of entertainers to appear at Meeks Street Plaza in Kingsford on Friday, Saturday and Sunday night from 6pm-8pm in the months of October and November. We're hoping this series of shows will provide the community with an opportunity they can pop by and enjoy, without the threat of drawing huge crowds as we spread the entertainment out across a number of weeks. It's also a great chance to visit the local businesses in the area and enjoy a meal out for dinner - there are so many restaurants and cafes to choose from!

Plans to update and renew Meeks Street Plaza were endorsed by Council earlier this year, with construction planned for March 2021. You can learn about the community consultation process and see the final plans here.
