Do you have a project, event or activity that encourages local connection? Or are you an artist working in design, music, publishing, film, visual arts, fashion or performing arts? Randwick Council would like to invite you to apply for funding to help support your project.

Community Connect and Community Creative are two funding programs that help to enrich the lives of our residents and showcase creative arts and culture with Randwick City.

They are both part of a new grants and donations framework, called the Community Investment Program, which will allow a broader range of applicants to access $1M in Council funding for the community.

The three key streams of the Community Investment Program include:

  1. Community Connect

This replaces the Cultural and Community Grants program and will invest in projects, events or activities that harness community ideas and encourage local participation and social inclusion.

  2. Community Creative

This is a new funding stream that focuses specifically on the development and delivery of creative, artistic and cultural projects that enriches our community. We’re looking for experimental, innovative ideas that encourage, drive change and increase local opportunities for our arts and cultural community.

  3. Community Partnerships
The existing Community Partnerships funding program will continue to assist community-based services to develop and implement relevant programs or projects that address the social needs of the residents within Randwick City.

Funding rounds for Community Connect and Community Creative are currently open. To apply, head here. Submissions close Monday 3 August 2020.

We are also currently seeking feedback  on these funding streams. Please let us know your thoughts here.
