UPDATE: As a result of tides, swells, wind and poor weather conditions, coping repairs that were due to be completed have been delayed.

To enable residents to be able to use the pool while we continue the work, the pool will re-opened on Tuesday 17 September.

The pool valve will be left open and the public will be able to swim at high tide and have access to the beach. However in low tide the pool will be self-draining and during this period the council contractor will continue to undertake repairs.

The current surface is uneven, sharp, full of cracks and difficult to walk on with bare feet. The area will be smoothed with concrete and a textured surface will be created to keep it from being slippery. This will improve community access and safety for all.

Malabar Ocean Pool is located near Malabar Beach in Long Bay directly below Randwick Golf Club.
