Randwick Council will waive footpath dining fees for businesses affected by the Coogee Bay Road and Arden Street streetscape upgrade works, which will commence Monday 17 September 2018.

The upgrades are set to deliver wider footpaths, which will provide the potential for businesses to expand their current footpath dining.

Council aims to support businesses with a current footpath dining agreement throughout the upgrade period by waiving their monthly footpath dining fees for the duration of the upgrade works. This will include the three months from December 2018 to March 2019 when no work will be undertaken.

In addition, once construction has ceased, application and agreement preparation fees will be waived, if applications are made within six months of completion, for businesses with a current footpath dining agreement who wish to extend their current dining areas afforded by the wider footpaths.

The Coogee Bay Road streetscape upgrades will also include upgraded paving, new street furniture, landscaping and new trees, creating an attractive, inviting space for people and increased trading opportunities for businesses.
