Randwick City residents have recycled a staggering 3,733 ink cartridges in the past year making our council area the third most prolific recycler in the state.
In 2017, 3,733 cartridges were diverted from landfill and recycled thanks to dedicated collection points installed at Council locations.
Randwick ranks third behind Hornsby Shire and Lismore City, and fourth nationally.
Residents can bring surplus cartridges to sites at the Administration Building on Frances Street, Randwick or at Council's dedicated Recycling Centre on Perry Street, Matraville.
Located in Perry St, Matraville, the Randwick Recycling Centre offers residents the opportunity to drop off materials such as plastic bottles and containers, soft plastics, aluminium and steel cans, eWaste (such as old computers, televisions and iPads) as well as paints, fluorescent tubes and globes, car and household batteries, smoke detectors, fire extinguishers and polystyrene foam. The Centre is open six days a week, from 6am – 3pm Monday – Friday and from 7am – 2pm on Saturdays.
